the odd little magic room

I am sitting in a room which doesn't exist.
Well, I didn't know it existed. I'm quite sure that if I walk along this corridor next week, this odd little magic room won't be here anymore. It's as though the universe/Matrix/author/whoever/whatever added the room simply because it was needed. I needed it, so it magically appeared!
Many thanks, universe/Matrix/author/whoever/whatever! Your generosity is lovely if a trifle confusing.
But in all seriousness, I have worked here for over four years and have passed this odd little magic room at least five or six times a week. How have I never noticed it before? Oh, maybe I have. Maybe it used to be an office. Now I feel silly.
This is the reason I shouldn't just let my mind wander on its own whimsical journey whilst I'm invigilating a controlled assessment.
Let's see where it takes me for the next hour and fifteen minutes.

I would have preferred a room from my dreams or fantasies. Reality is quite horrid. :)

@Poppylicious I agree, reality is horrid, we need to escape it to survive.

I don't think I have found mine either ... I think I just find other people's. Maybe this one was yours!

The room that you are only now noticing sounds intriguing,

It wasn't ... it had the smell of 'locked up for so long that the air is stale'. Plus the walls needed painting and it seemed to be a storage area for chairs. Which also explains where the chairs which disappear from classrooms go!

I think I need a straight jacket! "invigilating a controlled assessment" - translation: sitting in silent boredom making sure a student doesn't cheat in an English exam. :)
