Majhi; A Great Inspiration

Suddenly I remembered a great Indian film which I watched I few days ago; I would like to share the experience with my friends. The film, 'Majhi' is based on a real story. It is the story of Dashrath Majhi, a villager from one of the poorest villages of India. The man had a different spark within him from his childhood. He married a beautiful and simple village girl and was madly in love with her! They had a son together. The village was surrounded by hills and so, kind of detached from the world. The villagers used to climb the rocks very often as it was a part of their life. Majhi's wife fell from the rocks while she was pregnant for the second time. Majhi rushed her to the hospital; but there was no road through the hills. They had to take the roundabout way; the journey became long and Phagunia died due to excessive bleeding. But she gave birth to Majhi's daughter. Majhi completely lost himself after his wife's demise and he decided to take revenge upon the hills! He started hitting the rocks with a spade day and night. People thought he had gone completely mad! He kept on hitting the hills for nine years and.... He made a road through the hills!! I just became dumb after I watched the movie, because this level of dedication is unimaginable. It is the story of a man who actually believed in his goal when others thought he was mad! And he just ignored everything that came in his way! For me, Dashrath Majhi is an emblem of unbeatable power! I have just narrated the outline story. I would request you to watch the film because the story has been beautifully filmed by the director. You can find it on the internet I suppose!
