Makes me want to stay out of big cities

I turned off a silly Western drama that we borrowed from the library. I looked at the news.
The real world made my skin crawl. I am ready to head back into that fictional world and stay there. Oh Lordy. The Romans and the lions ready to jump you if you had the misfortune of being on the wrong side.
I love this country; this America. I am frightened and ill because I looked at the news. Hungry snarling lions out there; so called voting rituals that will rip the clothes off your weary back.
How to explain this to the young who will be the next generation? Please do not let this get to be the so called norm. Please.

Yes, this year's presidential race has gotten a bit on the crazy side. People punching each other out. Riots over who should and shouldn't be our next president. Come on people–that will be decided by your votes, not violence!

@RichardMeister: How to answer kids when they question about this behavior? What to say? That its okay to foment and incite punching and taunting?? I'm not getting the answer to this one. Good to hear from you.

@sallypup I guess the only thing you can tell kids is sometimes people get angry and don't think of the consequences of there actions. And, no, it isn't okay to foment or incite punching or taunt others.

@RichardMeister It is freaky how easy it would be to slide toward Hitler days. In general, folks need to look back and scope out what history has to teach them.
