Today i went to see a friend,l did not call to say im going because we had an appointment. When l got there, the door was locked. l could not call to ask where he is because l left my cell phone home.on my way back we met on the street and l told him l could not call because l did not have my cell phone with me. He said how old fashioned lam in general when it come to gadgets. l dont agree, l just find it a waste to buy a $500 phone if l can use my Nokia which cost me $20, no in-built camera or anything fancy, it`s a just a phone but it does what l need, make a quick call or send a quick sms. You think im old model or being honest to myself? what about you anyone still using outdated phone like me?

I dont believe in spending an immense amount of money to have the latest just to be cool. I think you are wise and sensible.

I do not use smartphone. I use my Nokia phone which I bought more than 5 years ago. It has no camera or anything, but it sure serves me well. I have dropped it so many times, and yet it still works.

Same reason l love my old phone, drop it, pick it up, it will still work unlike the new gadgets that you have to treat like glass, they fall down, you have to go for repairs or get ready to buy a new phone

Seems you enjoyed and satisfied using old phone. That's a frugal move. I used to have old phone too but my daughter gave to me her iPhone for she bought a new one. Then my husband gave me an iPad mini. I have no choice but to use them.

I'd stick with your old phone if that's what you want to do. It isn't his business really.

Apparently its old fashioned to care about your money and not want to waste it =] cell phones are a waste in my opinion too.
