Hello Again

I've been gone from here for quite a bit.
On Febuary 13th, I tried to kill myself. I'm not going to discuss how as it brings back bad memories and I dont want to give anyone ideas. Let's just say another 2 minutes and I would have been gone. Two of my friends spent the next 30 something hours talking me into going to the hospital and admitting myself to the psych unit.
I spent four days there and was treated pretty well actually. When I left, I was given a case worker through a local mental health organization. It's been a rough road since then but I'm making it.

Good to know that you are trying to ride this out. I would say that whenever negative thoughts come to our mind we should think not just about ourselves but also about the people who would be impacted by our actions. Once we understand that we are not alone and our negative actions would impact others who love and care for us, it becomes little easy to cope with our thoughts of harming ourselves. We all have two choices, positive and negative, it is up to us what we choose. Good friends and family always are the best asset, so take their help. One step at a time towards hope.

I am glad you were able to get the help that you needed and that you are still here with us. I've known depression and dark times myself. It's hard to remember sometimes how precious of a person you really are. I'm glad you had a support system to help you and convince you to get the help that you need.

be strong, that's extremely sad you're on a tough road right now. don't give up, remember mylot is your friend and there lot of people that can help you here.
