If you love your dog don't feed him the meals you eat.

We just had our favorite giant mini Daschund put down, due to pancreatitis. At almost 11 years old, her pancreas literally stopped working. These type dogs, including our Roxie, eat anything, and all they can. We fed her fries, pizza, cheese, and of course, she was the vacuum cleaner. She ate everything.\ As a special request, a plea, shall we say, on the part of your pet, I appeal to your sense of better judgment, don't feed your animals people food. I know they like it an it's cute to watch them eat a slice of pizza, or handfuls of fries. Pancreatitis is one of the many diseases associated with animals eating people food.

Cheese is ok for dogs unless they're lactose intolerant. There are a few sites that list human foods that are ok for dogs, things like certain types of peanut butter, chicken (not cooked bones) salmon and broccoli and there are a few more. There are also human foods that are very bad for dogs like chocolate and onions and a few others.

This is a good information. I guess the left over is suitable for stray dogs.
