Pet Peeves, I Have a Few #8

I am an easy-going fellow, yet there are a few things that irk me.
In this case, it's broken glass, especially on the bike path. Sure, any of my fellow cyclist's, including myself, can get a flat tire, which I'm certain is the intent.
The problem is that people jog on the same paths, and risk getting glass in their shoes. Kids play on the paths, often barefoot. And lots of people walk their dogs there, exposing their paws.
In other words, breaking bottles is wrong regardless, but only a reprehensible human being would keep doing so in a place in which someone or a pet could possibly get injured.
Hopefully, Karma will bite you in the butt.

With a bit of luck to go with the karma, they'll slip and land on a nice, sharp piece of glass which will go in a long way and have to be cut out - and the hospital will be out of anaesthetic - and the patient will be allergic to all other pain-killers - and justice will be served.

Oh, I hate broken glass on the path too. I watch out for that stuff because I have kids. And it makes me wonder how in the world these pieces got there and why didn't someone dispose of their glass bottle or whatever in a proper way.

@teamfreak16 I would think they would be older kids - I would hope the younger kids would be watched better than that. I hate stupid people who will leave whole empty glass bottles . . . we get one dumped on our lawn every now and then!

I think it's kids, but I've also heard speculation that it could be some of the homeless guys that sleep by the bike path.

@much2say - It's probably older kids. That makes the most sense.

It's probably kids doing it, thinking they are funny.

@teamfreak16 Uh, yeah. Funny.
Some years ago I and a friend were flying back to San Diego from New Orleans. We were were wedged into the last row of seats. Next to us sat a couple who'd been looking through some magazines. When got ready to leave, the guy threw the magazines on the floor, thinking, I guess, the, um, maid had nothing better to do than to pick up after him. I didn't notice this until I stepped it and, graceful creature that I am, went sliding and landed on my rear end. Apology forthcoming? I'm still waiting.

@msiduri - Isn't there a pocket for such things on the back of the seat? What a jerk.
