Have you ever been to Vegas?

Did you play slots or did you play Black Jack? I would not play anything. I am a natural born looser. But I think there were times when my step son came home with 65,000.00 in winnings and paid off his house mortgage and bought a new car with most of it. I would be happy if I could just turn a thousand dollars into about 10 thousand. That would be very good for us to get home improvements done. Apart from the initial question, would you gamble some other place, for instance, Oklahoma, Louisiana?

I once briefly lived in Las Vegas. I have been to casinos in Oregon, California, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Kansas, Mississippi, Louisiana and Oklahoma and Amsterdam!

I had not idea so many casinos existed in so many places. I hope they all play honestly and don't use cheat. Honest gamblers sounds like an oxymoron but hey, it is a sport and there are rules to play by. And as with all competitive sports, there are winners and there are losers.

@lookatdesktop The states outside of Nevada are Indian casinos on reservation land. It's a big boom to the Native American economy.

@lexiconlover I went to two. Can't remember the names. Both on the coast. One was maybe Coos Bay. One was located a bit inland. The good one was a giant facility right on the Pacific.

Talk about being lucky. Not staying and losing it all back would be bad luck.

I gamble here in Minnesota. I went to Vegas a few years back but I was so busy walking around, taking photos and sight seeing (oh and lounging by the pool) that i really didnt feel interested in gambling. I have never won big like that though. The most I have ever won is $1,100 but no more. As for your home imrpovements....I think a better idea is to start saving up. Lol

I have been to Vegas not with the intention to gamble but to see around. I particularly liked spending a few hours on the Fremont street watching the canopy lit sky in the night.

There are two casinos that I pass every day on my way to work, one on the left side of the highway and one on the right (with a convenient shuttle to bus drunkards back and forth, too!). I have to admit I've been tempted to stop in a few times after seeing the offer for $10 free play on their LED signs... they have two days a week where I could do that, if the signs are believed. I'm sure they'd show me the door pretty quickly if I only stuck to the $10 free play whenever I went in there... after all, they're there to help you part ways with your money, not give you theirs.
