Today is the day.. my dads getting his first tattoo

Today is finally the day. My dad is getting his first tattoo. At 10 am we are leaving to go to the tattoo studio.
Even after being a nurse for many years he is afraid of needles. He is nervous about getting this done but the down payment has been paid and he is going through with it. I am driving him. I hope it doesn't take more then a few hours.
I can't wait to to see how it looks.
After we are done I have to go to Gamestop and return the Playstation 3 that I bought as it just won't work right. It was used and I purchased it online but am hoping I can return it to the store and get a refund and buy a new one.

I really don't like to tattoo myself.

I love tattoos but it takes me years to think of what I want to have done. I would have liked to have gotten a tattoo done at the same time as him but I couldn't think anything up. I love the chain he had done. Maybe someday I can think of something to incorporate that theme on my skin. Here is a photo of his tattoo when it was finished. It turned out gorgeous.

He had two strokes and after survivng through them he wants to get a chain with a lock and the words "What doesnt kill you makes you stronger". We are waiting in the lobby right now. I am exhausted I need some caffeine.

@snowy22315 While I was in the waiting room commenting on this post earlier I tried to add a photo but it wouldn't let me. Here is the photo that I was going to post. My dad was very nervous at this point and asking a bunch of questions. They had a refrigerated case but all the Monsters were out of stock darn it.

I was able to return the system to gamestop and get my money back but it is very hard now to find a brand new playstation 3 for sale anywhere. The only place I could find one is amazon and ebay. I don't like to buy things like that on those sites. The playstation 4 does not play ps3 games and I just bought my kids 2 :-/

He did great I think. I will have to wait to post a picture until I am on my computer as it won't let me do it from my phone. Gamestop returned the Playstation 3 but didn't have any new ones to buy so I have to probably order a new one online later.

He insisted on driving and then buying lunch for us at Subway. I did nothing but be his company and sit and take pictures. I wish he would have let me buy lunch at least seeing as he bought me dinner last night.

He likes it. He likes how it turned out and so do I. I added a photo as a comment to another mylotter if you want to scroll up to view it. Ironically this was a different tattoo studio then I have ever been too. The guy who did my dads tattoo we found out during the tattoo is the son of a guy who did my wrist tattoos at a different studio a few years back. Very ironic and cool I think.

My mother actually drew up the tattoo and wanted it done a certain way. I think the lettering will look too cluttered the way she had it so I suggested to my dad that he has all the words written above or below it. The tattoo artist looked at the design my mother sketched quickly and he is going to make up a better sketch that he will alter however my father wants and then tattoo it on today.
