Excited About my Horror Play Presentation At Easter

This time last year, 2015, I staged my first radio play, as writer, producer, director and actor. There were seven of us in the cast of Wendigo Water, about a suspected flesh eating demon in a lifeboat among shipwreck survivors with nowhere to run or swim away to. This year I’m presenting the recording of the 25 minute drama at a major science fiction convention in my home city and taking feedback from the listeners. I won’t have my wonderful cast with me but I am really looking forward to the event. The photo shows five of the seven of us in rehearsal at Manchester’s Three Minute Theatre just hours before our live recording. Arthur Chappell

@Ronrybs I have some Jago & Litefoot stuff - not heard of the plagiarizers - the original Orson Welles radio play of The War Of The Worlds is online - that famously caused a mass panic when New Yorkers really thought a martian invasion was in progress

The mention of a horror play at Easter has me thinking about Satanic Bunnies or maybe Zombie Eggs.

Sounds exciting! And you can kick back and listen, rather than have to worry about performing.

it should do - it was fine on the original performance night itself

You Brits are the only ones still appreciating and creating new radio drama.

there are very limited markets for such plays sadly - I have several ready to promote but getting them noticed is difficult

@arthurchappell Radio of course predated TV. Radio drama and readings are virtually extinct in the US since 1961. I have read about new radio plays and readings on UK radio. Elizabeth McGovern does radio work. John Gielgud was blind and determined to act until the end and said there's always radio.
