Diary Thursday 17th March 2016 St Patricks Day

Though I have Irish blood in my veins and probably a lot of Guinness too, I’m not actually going out drinking for St Patrick’s Day as I am rather broke at present.
A friend phoned me last night to ask how my Mum was and I mentioned that I’d updated her on my mum’s heart-attack health crisis by text a few days ago, but when she checked the text hadn’t arrived. She texted me back this morning to say the text sent by me had just arrived over 48 hours after I sent it, very strange.
My mum is still quite stable a week after her heart-attack though vey cantankerous.
She greeted me immediately with further aggressive comments about the microwave oven breaking yesterday, associating me being the last one to use it with the one who broke it. I just stayed out of her way as much as I could all day.
She had company from a few old friends who came to visit and that lightened her mood a lot.
I got the go-ahead to perform one of my burlesque themed poems at a burlesque society meeting on Sunday which should be fun. It’ll be my first real break from the tensions of my mum’s illness over the last week.

you have to wonder, where the text went, did it go traveling?

@arthurchappell ah, intergalactic texts? Good thing that wasn't intentional can you imagine the planetary charges?

@arthurchappell Yes, most of them go right away, I believe that sometimes there are too many sent and the providers have glitches.

Sorry for the late response Arthur.
Glad to know your Mum is stable, sorry she is off though, I guess the illness doesnt help this.
Good you are getting a much needed break now with your burlesque thingie.
Yes no guinness for me either, not because I am broke which I am, but because I would never stop drinking it lolz...yes Irish in the veins too.

@Missmwngi full recovery is impossible but she can get a longer life with less stress and anxiety or strenuous activity plus her medications but it won't be easy

For some reason, my girlfriend gets texts from me a day or two later than sent.
Nice to see that your mum is stable.
