Got to call department store credit card dept

Why do I have to do this. I was checking when my credit card payment is due and how much. There a note saying activate their American express card . So I have to see if they ever sent this new card . This is why I want to know if I qualified for this card I know it help my credit rating go up. This is how I will use it .If I know I need something I put the money away first them use the card then the following month pay it off.

It a department store credit card If some get good paying with them they will upgrade the store credit card with visa or master or american express then the store card can be use any were and there no anual fee. I did not ask for it but if I qualtify I like to have it for two reason , 1. to build my credit up. 2. for the hot dog cart business say there a specail event for food vendor to set up they have pay money up front the event can net from$500us to$1ooo for the day. This is the main raeason Why I like to have this card.

@eagletrek2 I see, it's more or less the same here. I have two store cards that were upgraded to MasterCards (same as Visa), there is no annual fee and I can pay everywhere using them.
