Free $10 to shop at Sports Authority!

In the past - I have purchased a few items for my dad as gifts from Sports Authority. It isn't a store I typically shop at because it's quite expensive and I don't participate in any Sports anymore.
However as a rewards member occasionally you'll receive *random* perks. This morning I opened my e-mail up and was given a $10 instant reward, no minimum required that will expire tomorrow! There are some exclusions like not valid on clearance items or promotional items. After running errands, the store we last visited was literally beside Sports Authority, so we dropped by.
I went in knowing we would buy sweat wristband since boyfriend and I go hiking quite often and they'll be useful! But, we explored the store since we weren't in a rush home. It is quite rare to find items there under $10. Some socks just a pair is already $15-20.
In total we spent $2 and some change.
I chose the Nike (in pink) which is also a special edition for cancer awareness. And my boyfriend whose more of a fan of Adidas chose the red/black and it's also reversible. Though - if he wasn't picky of the brand, he could have the white version of mine and call it completely free.
Are you a fan of any store rewards you're with? My favorite is Macy's - I'm an Elite reward and I get all sorts of coupons like $10 off $25, $15 off $40, $20 off $50.

I am not a member of a store that has really good perks. I have a few loyalty cards for grocery stores, one for biglots but hardly ever shop at any of them. I shop at the store I work for obviously, and the biggest perk there is that we get a free item per week, of course it's chosen by the powers that be and we can't pick it ourself. Still pretty nice either way.

Aw ~ the free perk you get an item is it same to public? I know like Ralphs gives members a free item every Fri but a Ralphs is not in my direction.
Any cool freebies you've gotten?

@infatuatedbby Nope, it's an associate only incentive. We've given free things before but I think we've since stopped.
AS for freebies? meh I use to do freebie searches online. I once got a free pizza because the package I got was already messed up.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I see!
I don't get as much freebies anymore but I like the ones that give me credits like this so I can pick whatever I want.
I often get free undies without purchase needed from VS, lol.. So much I don't need to buy any hah-a.

Is that apart of your credit card?
I earn points on my credit card and once I accumulate enough - I can get a check or gift card. But this is rewards for the store. And these emails are just random. I get them at Staples sometimes too.

@infatuatedbby I also get fidelity points using my credit cards, the grocery store cards are apart from credit cards.

I don't really pay attention t that kind of thing. But I will try to buy things (like sneakers and hiking boots) when they're on sale. My way cool yellow boots only cost me $29 at Big 5 Sporting Goods, as did my current basketball shoes.

Big 5 Sporting goods has coupons on their website sometimes. Like spend $25, get $5 off or Spend $50, get $10 off. Check it out sometime and you'll save even more money

It's good that you get that instant reward, but it's weird that it'll be expired tomorrow. Glad that you managed to drop by the shop and bought something you need.
I do not shop much, so I am not a member of any of these stores, except for AEON member card, as we always go there for grocery shopping.

I think they want it to expire fast ~ so people don't sell the rewards to people or like quick attention to the store.
It was nice since the store is conveniently located beside the places we go to the market.

I don't know if we have that here in my place. But I love discounts too. Sometimes, the online shop here gives out discount vouchers but I seldom do shopping. Hihih

I have multiple membership cards at various fashion brands but I can't beat you at it, you do have a good deal for a wide range of products.

I've never gotten anything like this before. Then again, I don't do all that much shopping.
