my daughter is saying prayer don't work

yesterday we found out someone else got the house, even though we are out 100 bucks for background check
my daughter said, see, quit praying. every time I pray for something it does not work.
I had no answer for her as I am beginning to wonder myself. I don't want to loose my faith, but nothing is really working out good. 
I feel so helpless these days. I really need something to believe in.

That's because we want the answers we want. He answers every time. Sometimes it is "yes" other times it is "no" and another time it might be "wait"
The prayer "Your will be done" is one we need to pray.

i am just afraid his will is looking like we are on the street this time and i loose my dog and my stuff and money, etc. thats how its looking and i am having trouble getting medical also

And I understand the frustration. I have been crying out to Him for over a month. At this time, I believe the answer was "wait" because I think I am moving in the direction I wanted to go.

well today they are telling me they definately have a house with air. i am hoping this day will be great. its Easter after all today

God answered, His answer was no. There is something better out there for you. We were bidding on a house against another buyer. We finally dropped out refusing to go higher.... and then we found this house which actually made me cry when I saw it (I WAS 4 months pregnant so emotional for sure). Pray that God will bring you to the place where you are meant to be. All things happen for a reason. God has a plan. Have faith.

i usually do but the past couple of years it just seems bad comes to worse. it is so hard when everything keeps going wrong no matter what

Sometimes things don't happen for a reason. Perhaps your prayers are being answered but in a different way. Maybe there is a better house coming up.

I hope your daughter gets what she needs. Maybe that house was not it. I guess praying for material things is not what praying is fir. Don´t lose your faith because of that.

seems though, i am lately not getting any answers to prayers. no matter what. we are soon going to be on the street and i have so many praying. plus i will likely be in the hospital if it doesn't work out soon

God gives us what we need which isn't always what we ask for so don't despair he knows what you need and he will provide, of that I am sure.

My parents were looking at buying a house when they were first married. They really liked it, but they didn't get it. A tornado, that doesn't happen very often in Wisconsin, came through and lifted that house and turned it cattycorner on its foundation. You never know why God is saying no to your request for that house, but I'm sure the one you find will be perfect for you. So don't listen to your daughter about not praying. Obviously she doesn't pray. God has your BEST interests in mind. So thank him that the house wasn't for you, but he has something better for you.
