I was on holiday at a holiday camp just near Brighton in the late 1980’s, my first break after escaping from the clutches of a cult when the camp played host to a swimming display by former athlete Duncan Goodhew, who is photographed here with me and two lovely young ladies who were also on the break. Duncan Goodhew is a very nice chap. Arthur Chappell

I am struggling to think of a holiday camp near Brighton. The nearest that I am aware of is on Hayling Island.

he is a true gentleman - as he was leaving the camp I was walking down the road to post my bought, paid for and stamped postcards in a postbox about quarter of a mile down the road. He asked me if I needed a lift. I told him what I was doing and he told me that as he was going that way anyway he'd post them for me and he did
