The Verdict is In, but not from Me

Today was my day for jury duty. Last night I called and was informed that I was on standby.
Following orders, I called back at around noon, when I was informed that I was excused and had fulfilled my obligation.
As interesting as it might have been, I didn't really want to do it. I don't know if I'd even make a good juror. I have the attention span of a small kitten, and would have found it hard to pay attention, which wouldn't be fair to anyone.
So it was probably the best for everyone involved.

@boiboing - Oh, sorry. It's a Disney animated movie about a Clown Fish that has to find son Nemo. Dory is a fish with no short term memory and no attention span.

I should have used Dory from Finding Nemo as my example.

I find it very difficult to focus on things that don't interest me.

It is nice to know that I don't have to go down there, that is for sure.

Not to mention, I very well could nod off during the proceedings. It's just better for everyone that I didn't make it.

Yeah, I really didn't want to sit there in a courtroom for who knows how many days.

I've never served on a jury and it's probably better that I don't. I'm not good at being impartial and looking at the facts only.
