Adults Should Keep Healthy

Adults should not be lazy in achieving a healthy body; this is particularly directed at those who are above 50 and hexagenarians and so on. Fitness experts say that the best form of exercise is walking, specially for aged people who find other exercise routines so hard for their physical conditions. Instead of riding a car or any vehicle, try to walk each day, even around or inside the house. Walking around the neighborhood makes us happier and prevents boredom specially for stay-at-home people who had retired from their office or day jobs. What exercise regimen do you follow?

I walk a lot during my regular day usually but not sustained walking. I need to walk on the treadmill but a bad knee hinders that.

If you can't walk for so long, like I do, try using a steady bike just like doctors advise to protect the knee cartilage. I use an adult bike(trike) for my morning exercise.

I don't really follow any although we do do quite a bit of maintenance around the place. This is good advice.

@acelawrites I think for most of us elderly people if we would just get out and do something, anything at all, it would benefit us mentally and physically.

@JudyEv , you are right. Elderly people can do anything they are capable of just to get some movements for their health.

Thanks, @JudyEv. I knew a lot of people who tend to ignore physical activity due to age.

Yes, that is a very nice practice, @Marcyaz, as what health experts say, moving a lot helps us be healthy.

I get to exercise only on Saturdays and Sundays . It's a mixture of some cardio , zumba , crunches and a bit of jogging in place , and before i forget , 15 minutes of dancing . It's so exhilirating that i am wet with sweat after . And i do it at our bedroom while hubby sleeps .

I try to walk for at least half an hour every day, and I do gardening in the summer. I'm pretty healthy for my age - 76.

That's great, @jaboUK, you are doing fine, and enjoying each day by being so active! I wish I can be the same when I reach that age ( wishing for that!).

I prefer walking in my daily routine as it is fruitful for varied health problems . Other options are also in trend for seniors like Yoga , Line dancing ,Square dancing and Ballroom dancing . Most of the home health care centers like Royal care ( provides fitness facilities to seniors for staying healthy and fit along with other exclusive services .
