What is your internet speed and what does it allow you or not allow you to do? I am browsing for a new internet plan with Comcast or Century Link and they have about a bagillion options for "MBPS" (I feel lkike this stands for megabytes per second but I could be wrong) at different pricepoints.
I have talked to family, friends and coworkers and they all tellme different things. Essentially I want to mainly check my email and go on online earning sites and online banking sites but it would be nice to also watch Netflix on occasion...
Any insight? Whats your speed? Are you happy with it?

We have virgin fibre optic and the stated speed is 200mbps for £32 per month with a phoneline although we don't have a phone!!!!
I find it very fast and think we got a good deal too although we don't have the tv package which would take the price up by £20 or so per month.

@maezee I just did a speed test and it is nowhere near the 200 that I said it was.
It's showing into the low 70's on wifi and will apparently be higher if i plug in with a wire.
I'm letting my landlord know tomorrow as theres no point paying for something we aren't getting.
Looking at the info it does say up to 200 but we aren't getting that.

I currently have 25mbps but thats with a cable connections, so sometimes its slow other times it fast, but I am going to switch to fiber for a faster consistant speed. With the cable connection browsing the web is fine and occasional streaming like netflixs.

its slow and ive accepted it. its the best we can have in this area.
