What is your favorite food and why?

I have soooo many! I am not too much of a veggie person, I know shame on me. I would have to say anything PASTA! My whole family is a pasta family. We eat it several times a week. Our pasta is pretty simple. No fancy veggies in the pasta. We like more your cream sauces and plain ole spaghetti. We usually have a meat of some kind, bread sometimes, veggie or fruit and then noodles or rice. We do eat a lot of white rice. The veggies are simply corn, potatoes, peas, etc. Not the fancy dandy stuff the gourmet cooks make. On that note, I am going to go watch Cooks vs. Con on the food channel!

@ReiraLee we barbecue every chance we can even in winter time. I like the food in skewers but have not personally try to do them. I like mild spicy. Hubby hates spice so I try to sneak mild stuff in for some flavor or add it to mine.

It's so hard to decide! As a child spaghetti was my hands down favorite meal. I always still make it from scratch like my mom did. Today, I think I would still have to say chicken is my favorite food since I cook it the most. My favorite snack is white cheddar cheese. (Julia...are you a Maud Hart Lovelace fan?)

@Jeanniemaries Love spaghetti! We have it every two weeks. Love chicken. Making chicken and noodles today in the crockpot! Love cheddar cheese, all cheeses, love to snack on baby bell cheese, just wish it wasn't so expensive. lol. I have not read any of Maud Hart Lovelace books, but they look good. Do you read them a lot?

@T_gray definitely. I think we spend most of our money on food. It is usually our entertainment out to go to a restaurant.

I am a seafood and veggie lover. Maybe because I grew up by the beach. I love fruits too and as a Filipino I can't live without rice at least half cup every meal.
