Just sharing a couple more Easter fun facts.

Did you know that In the old days pretzels were associated with Easter because the twists of the pretzel were thought to resemble arms crossing in prayer. I hadn't heard this before, had no idea that pretzels had anything to do with Easter. Do you eat pretzels at Easter? 76% of people eat the ears on chocolate bunnies first. Wonder why that is, maybe because the ears are the smallest part and it seems like the bunny lasts longer. Which part do you eat first? (Or do you even eat chocolate bunnies?)

The ears of course. I never stopped to think about why either. Interesting facts about pretzels.

@AnneEJ I learned one tonight at church regarding the Easter Lily. It's said that it first grew after Jesus resurrection at the garden tomb, and was also seen in every place his sweat dropped on the way to the cross.

Many different feelings about the pretzels, so not sure whether this was a true fact or not. Interesting, though.

I never heard that about pretzels. Legend says that the pretzel was invented by an Italian monk in the year 610 A.D. To reward young children for learning their prayers. Nothing to do with Easter.

@AnneEJ You know, there are so many incorrect facts on the Internet. Somewhere I read that Santa Claus had been invented by Coca Cola, that is of course wrong, because this figure existed so many years before that Coca Cola was invented.

@LadyDuck You are right so maybe this was not a real fact. But it sounded like a true fact.

Indeed the pretzel looks like arms crossing prayer . As to eating chocolate bunnies , we don't have that here because we don't celebrate Easter Bunnies . Though , if we have that i surely would start with its smallest part first .

I am with the majority, I always eat the ears first. I think because it doesn't really change the look of the bunny as much as say biting off its face!!

No, I don't eat chocolate bunnies. We have a traditional pudding we eat with coconut milk. It has nuts and is delicious.

I actually did know that there was a correlation between pretzels and hot cross buns and Easter. But its still a pretty cool discussion and a great fact.

At the Mall yesterday, they had a lot of fun things for kids, face painting, etc. I saw a couple of kids with cotton candy.

I knew about the bunny ears, but not about the pretzels. I used to go for the ears first, because they were the easiest to nibble off. Then the head. I was very methodical in my bunny eating way back when I last had them.

I am not a fan of pretzels, and I try to stay away from the chocolate bunnies as well. My daughter will probably give me some kind of chocolate for Easter, but I will try to spread it out.

I haven't heard that before about pretzels. Growing up in Philadelphia I love soft pretzels. I'll look at them in a new way from now on. As far as the chocolate bunnies, I haven't had one of them in probably 40 years. I was a strange kid, I never liked them. Jelly beans were my down fall on Easter. Have a blessed evening

Yes, I prefer the soft pretzels to the hard ones. As for the chocolate, I try to stay away from that, except for dark.
