Yep, that's a good way to describe myself. I'm seriously trying to lose weight but I'm gaining again. Now it's a curious thing...as it's Easter, tonight I had a baked dinner for the first time in ages. It wasn't a huge amount but I was full as I reached half way through it. Now that tells me that I have actually cut back on my portion sizes. I know I'm eating a lot less and I know I'm eating more healthily so why am I not losing weight? It's sure peeing me off - big time. I'm not looking for answers or advice because I believe I'm doing what I should be doing. Something is wrong and it's so unfair. Apologies for the negativity and feeling sorry for myself.

I would be peed off too. I have lost quite a lot after talking to my nephew about his weight loss. He doesn't eat between dinner in the evening and lunchtime next day. He tries to go 16 hours without eating. I've been doing this - sort of - and have been gradually losing. I don't find it that hard as I rarely feel hungry and don't find it hard to go without breakfast. I usually have something around 11 though. There is lots of info about why it works on the net. It mightn't be healthy for some but I don't seem to be any the worse for it and I've lost about 8 kilos since December. And here's a hug for you.

@MsTickle You should take each pet for its own individual walk. :)

@MsTickle What about the goat? He/she might like a walk. I took Herc down the paddock with me today while I was pulling up paddy melons. He enjoyed his walk too and took the opportunity to eat some grass.

Been there, done that , joined Weight Watchers years ago, got to goal worked for them for a few years and gained a lot of it back. Now I go to the YMCA 5 days a week for an hour, I am back to where I need to be with weight, but aging has helped. I am not hungry any more, I eat three good meals a day, small ones and that is what my body needs. The Y and exercise is working for me. (I'm 70)

In my family, on Mum's side, the women gain weight post menopause then lose it again shortly before passing away. I've dropped a kilo since posting this.

@MsTickle I gained all my troublesome weight with childbirth, it was a battle after my babies. During menopause I gained some but the daily exercise for the last 4 years has taken all that away. Good for you with a kilo down.

Love to walk but a couple of years ago had a very nasty fall. living where there are no footpaths is also scary. I have a treadmill and I need to use it more often.

I know you're not after advice, but as someone with an under active thyroid I have to ask if it's been ruled out. Good luck.

I've read / heard that fat can be so stubborn, no matter your diet. Just keep at it and try not to think of your physical appearance.
