With my man living here his son is here for the weekend. It is the first time in 6 years someone has been here other then my kids and I.
We have our own traditions and I didn't realize until this morning that might pose a problem we needed to talk about ahead of time.
My family growing up always hid the basket of candy from the Easter bunny and the kids had to find it.
My mans family growing up had the basket sitting there waiting for them and then their were eggs hidden around the house for the kids to find.
We each bought candy and I took care of filling them up at about 10 pm last night. It took me about an hour to get the three ready.
We usually do an easter egg hunt at my sisters as well as have dinner there. I am not sure if we are doing an egg hunt this year or not.
The photo is of my sons Easter basket from the bunny. All three have the same thing inside the only difference is my daughters basket is pink.

The Easter basket looks good. I am sure the children have fun!
We don't celebrate Easter, but I just planned a simple egg hunt for my children, just for them to have some fun. I didn't buy the plastic eggs or use real eggs, I made some crafts on my own, hid them and let the children hunt for them, with some hints given to them.
I like the idea of egg hunt, as my children always like treasure hunt.

All the children had a great time. My sister had a lot of plastic eggs filled with candy. I put 5 cents in each of my plastic eggs that I hid. The kids got to play on the trampoline for awhile after the egg hunt. I think the treasure hunt you did for your children sounds really fun. I have done things like that with my children and they love it as well. My daughter likes to make her own around the house to entertain her brother and I. Usually at the end is a candy reward. I attached a photo of the cute dessert my 11 year old niece made all by herself. She did a great job.

The Easter bunny thing is a new tradition in my country. When I was a child the holy week was all about Christ. I did not buy chocolate eggs to my children and I don“t think there were any. The Easter bunny, here, is imported, but the chidren accepted it immediatly as they accepted the alien Halloween.

I love that you celebrate other countries traditions with your children. That is so fun for them. I used to do things like that to when mine were younger. I made special mashed potatoes and ranch deviled eggs. The potatoes I didn't add enough salt, cream cheese, or sour cream so they were more bland then usual. The ranch deviled eggs I had never made before. I followed the recipe exactly and they were soooo disgusting. I added double the amount of mayonnaise and then some extra just to try to take some of the taste of the ranch out. It was so salty I think is the problem. I will never make that recipe again.

Since I am single and just have the animals I don't have much of a tradition. I basically sleep in give the animals a treat then go to my parents for dinner. As a kid we would have to hunt for the little chocolate eggs, then we got either a solid chocolate bunny, stuff animal, or marshmallow eggs.

Sounds like most of what you got when young is similar to what I got. I hated the chocolate bunnies and chocolate eggs though. I really not a fan of plain chocolate. Glenn bought two bags for the basket from the bunny. I usually buy all reeces things like that.

In our household, the basket was always waiting for the kids to find when they woke up. I'm not sure what traditions that my son has carried over with his daughter... will have to ask him. His wife is Polish, so they might have something completely different!!

Did your children get a basket from you and another from the Easter bunny? I hide the one from the Easter bunny and leave the one from me on the couch for them. This year they looked for their basket from the bunny then I gave them the one from me.

Your Easter celebration sounds really fun.
