My House Was Blessed Again

As Christians, we see to it that a priest bless our house first before we dwell on it. Well, after 16 years my house was blessed again by a church layman.
This is part of the Catholic Easter celebration. They roamed around in our subdivision and do a blessing ceremony and prayer in every house, then they blessed each house with the holy water.
Have you experience this every Easter?

Yes we do but in our hometown they don't bless the houses, the priest goes around and bless the cars instead.

Well, they also bless cars if you tell them to bless them. I forgot to tell The church layman to bless our car too although it was already blessed when we first bought it. Anyway, thanks @toniganzon

No it is not so personal here my friend.
Everything is distant.
Happy Easter and so happy you have that blessing there.

Well, that's good to know that you bless your own home from time to time. My house was blessed only twice since year 2000. Thanks @just4him

This is an old thread. But here's my response. In India, Catholic priests visit every Catholic home and blesses every Easter because our number is tiny.

No, they do not practice it here, but I like it if they bless our house again. It's a beautiful tradition which is symbolic of a new life as Easter Day connotes.
