Is it true that pure honey does not attract ants?

I'm planning to replace sugar with honey. I'm not sure how to test if the honey I buy is pure or not. I heard if it doesn't attract ants, it's pure. Wow! Is it true?

no I don't think that is true. i think pure honey will still attract ants after a while and i don't think it is a test of pureness.

@wittynet this site looks good
Are you able to differentiate 100% pure honey from adulterated honey? Here are various honey authenticity tests suggested by people from all over the world. Evaluate and judge for yourself how reliable they are.

An old man told me it is one good way to test whether honey is pure or not. If it attracts ants it is surely not pure but has sugar content, but if it does not attract ants, it is certainly pure honey.

Hi, @salonga! Is that old man my father? My father confirmed that. Not sure though because I never accompanied him when he was still harvesting honey. I was sooooo scared because honey bees' bite is sooooo painful.

@salonga, were you already bitten by honeybees? How did it feel?

pure honey for me is even more expensive than sugar. best kept in the fridge or jar.

That's correct, @Letranknight2015! It's more expensive. I kept my first ever bottle of honey in the fridge because a honeybee sensed I had honey and it went inside my room. I was so scared that it might encourage other bees to get inside my room so I immediately put it inside the fridge in our common dining area.
