So this happened a few days ago
I was laying in bed trying to take a nap after my mom had woke me up when she was leaving for work.
So I lay down and I'm just about to drift off when... I start hearing the whining of a baby. All of a sudden I think I'm going crazy because the sound was clear as day as though I had a newborn baby right next to me.
Once that settled down I try to go to sleep again and then... I start hearing like a bunch of people singing happy birthday.
Now, I usually only get freaked out when I'm here by myself when the house starts settling or the squirrels are running across the roof or buzzards decide they wanna chill on the house, but this, this freaked me out big time.
Now, before you say anything, I know what you may be thinking.
Maybe it was the TV? That might be a reasonable explanation if someone else was here but I was here by myself and my TV was turned completely off.
Am I going crazy or is the baby fever getting to me? Or was I actually dreaming the whole time and didn't realize it?

Why would baby fever be getting to you if that was the case? Sometimes when I am in between dreams and reality I will hear loud voices or things like knocking that sound like they are in the room with me. Once I went to the door because I thought that's where the knocking came from, but no one was there.
I think the sounds are either a mix of the two states or in terms of clear voices, a hint of telepathy. Generally when I dream while awake they are image only dreams. Crystal clear sound is something else.

I don't really know, i thought I was pretty wide aqake because when I heard the baby noises I was looking around me.
Now the happy birthday singing I could believe I was dreaming about, because I at least had my eyes closed.

@TheDemonicAngel Maybe you're hearing ghosts? I generally don't hear things that aren't there unless I'm tired.

I had that same experience especially when I'm too exhausted. Then I came to realise that whenever i'm extremely tired, I start to dream right after closing my eyes thinking i'm still awake.
