Has anyone visited Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos?

I am always fascinated how India was spread during the medieval times. The "akhand Bharat" was 100 of kingdoms spread through out South and South East Asia. I want to know therefore, to learn the culture, history of the countries mentioned - Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Has anyone visited them? If so please mention the best routes, destinations and "to do" list. Since these countries are lesser known than their neighbors.
