Here I attached a typical Chinese painting. Chinese painting and western painting is quite different from each other but they all have its own beauty. Can you find some difference between Chinese and western painting?

First of all the materials used are not the same. Chinese paintings are delicate watercolors on paper, while most western paintings are oils on canvas. The subjects are the same, the sea, the boats, the nature, but they are seen with a different view.

You are quite right. In fact the Chinese painter can even draw a picture by the black ink.

I cannot really explain it in words. I know when I see it. Personally I like the Chinese brush painting of mountains and bamboos. The paintings look nicer than the real thing!

I think usually the Chinese painting will not draw as well as the object itself. It may just have the shape or style but it still look vivid. And you know sometimes the western painting really draws in details.
