To buy or not to buy?

I have come across a yoga book for children this morning, "Good Morning Yoga". Before this, I have read the other book by the same author "Good Night Yoga" online. The author has even recorded a youtube video to read the whole book, and I have taught my children the yoga poses from the book. They love it very much, and even my little girl learned the English words.
I have always been considering whether to buy the "Good Night Yoga" book, and this morning I just found out the author has published another new book, "Good Morning Yoga". I am so tempted to go and get these two books together!
Total cost for two books including shipping is USD$36 (with 33% off now). It might take me more than 7 months to earn from mylot to pay this off. This will be quite expensive if I convert it to my local currency.
I know this is not a must, this is not a need, this is just something I'd like to give to my children. It seems like I have not been buying things or shopping for quite a long time, I have always been making the decision on to buy or not to buy, especially for such an expensive item.
Have you always considered to buy or not to buy? Have you made a decision lately whether you have bought or not to buy something?
Just in case you are interested, this is one of the books:
Picture was downloaded from pixabay (I chose the picture which the person is leaning towards "Yes", as I am convincing myself to buy the books!

For kids in early to middle childhood (4–8), a “wake up” story with simple poses to prepare for the day.

I can't afford that amount so surely I won't buy them. Buying or not buying an item, well, I did that oftentimes.

Yes.... that's the thing! Why do we have the conversion rate?
If it's only $36 in local currency, I think I will just go for it.
I asked my children yesterday, they said a book for 18 is not considered expensive, but a book for 75 is expensive. It's RM75 per book after converting to our currency rate.

As a mother, sometimes I like something but I think it is expensive and therefore I decide not to buy it for myself. However, if I think it is good for my son, then I don't mind it even if it has a high price
Perhaps you are this type of mother, too

I won't buy if it's a toy, because I am not so much into toys, clothes or other accessories. But, as it's a book, so I just keep thinking about it. Yes, I agree with you, sometimes we'd just get something if it's good for our children. I'd go for a good learning course if it's good for me as well.

$36 is actually for two books. It's actually $12 per book, and $12 is the International shipping cost. I am sure it'll be cheaper if it's delivering to US. Because of books, sometimes I wish I can stay in US, as the books seem to be cheaper there, if I don't convert them to my local currency.

If you think it'll be beneficial to your children then go for it because it's going to be a good investment. Recently i've been battling whether to test the L'oreal true match foundation since the priced drop from $18 to $10. Hahaha, I still have three foundation in my possession and all are more expensive than L'oreal, but I'm still tempted to get it though it's not a necessity at all.

I guess we are just tempted by different things. I am sure I will not go for the foundation, but when it comes to book, I hardly resist when I think it's good.
How long will the promotion last for the L'oreal foundation? Hope you'll be able to make up your mind before that. I think I will still take a few more days to consider this as well.

I still buy books, especially for my children, and even for myself. For myself, mostly are books about education or parenting. I don't really allow my children to use the computer, and I always prefer them to read the books, the physical books.
I can stop buying other stuffs, but books are really something I find it hard to resist buying.

I think you can forget about this series of books for now.
Perhaps one day, you can find it in your country at a cheaper rate.
As of now, it is not worthwhile to spend so much money on a book.
For this kind of money, you can buy a lot of books from Taobao, and have them shipped from China.

I thought the price is quite reasonable for those who stay in US or Europe, but not for us in Asia.
For me, a book that costs $18 is considered quite cheap, if it's in local currency rate. The book I usually buy here is about RM30. But, $18 = RM75, RM75 for a book is really quite expensive, it's hardcover and beautifully illustrated.
I don't have so much temptation to buy other stuffs, but I always like to buy books, though I don't really "need" them.
