My Garden Last Year....

Yeah, so when I started here again I mentioned that a lot had happened since I was last on here (about 2 years ago.) We got us 3 acres of land with a house (which the MIL lives in) and our 3 bedroom trailer house. We have out buildings on the place as well. The first year we were here, I was mainly busy burning trash that people had left here. Apparently the place had been vacant for 7 years and people were using it for a landfill!! Then the next summer we went out of town to work. Last summer my husband got a job working for the Parks and Recreation at the lake that is about 10 miles from us. So I was able to have a garden!! It did really well!! I froze a lot of tomatoes, cucumbers, pumpkin, zucchini squash and pumpkins. We have a big freezer and it's still pretty full of frozen vegetables from the garden. I want a garden again this year, but not as big!! Do you garden? ~Peace~ photo is mine

You know that I do! Might you do corn this year? That's my favorite.

I have moved since I visited with you last. I am in a community that has a free community garden. We are just getting started this year. I would like to put fruit trees on my property.

The roomie is always wanting a garden, but she can't do all the work. I don't want to do the work, but guess who does a good bit of it? I just posted a discussion about how we started our garden this year.

I love to garden, but my garden is very small. I live in a big city so land is terribly expensive. My idea of a vegetable patch is a place where I can have 10 tomato plants and some kale.

That is a large area and I would love to know what your plans are. I have heard so much about freezing fruits and vegetabaes. Do you need all that for your own consumption. I too get fruits here but we need just a little of that.
