No Parking Car Park

Car Park

Just read about a roof car park for 80 cars that has been unused for five years. There was a plan to build a bridge from an adjacent building which would have a suitable ramp up for cars. The planned second building never got built and the roof top car park is only accessible by foot. It is said the economic downturn of 2008 did for the second building and there is no timescale for it to go up. I hope it is not just the UK these kind of things go on! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-35743727

No, it's not only the UK, be reassured, in Italy things like this happen all the time.

@Ronrybs I do not know the Germans, but when I lived in France I remember empty areas where they had to build parking and they stayed empty for 20 years.

Which makes me wonder if the Germans and French have the same problem

It's not only in the UK. I've seen it in Greece and the USA, too.

What a shame , you would have thought the council would have finished it off and charged to get their money back.I should think this goes on all over the world.

The economic downturn had a bad effect in the US and it wouldn't surprise me if there was a similar situation somewhere here.

Indeed, big business has a record of walking away from things like this when the money flow is going the wrong way
