The little cat next door popped his head over the fence. Hi, he said, Please can I live with you? His sister, white to his black, watched him with amusement. He jumped down and galloped towards the door, only to find that I'd closed it. Oh, he sighed. I held my hand up to the glass. He mirrored my movements, his paw against my hand, separated only by the double glazing of a glass back door. We were like a couple of sad folk, quivering wrecks of despair, saying goodbye ... till we meet again. One day I will be daft enough to get away with being the crazy cat lady of the neighbourhood. Until that time I must refrain from being too familiar with the loveable fluff-bellies who roam the streets. Awww, but they're so adorably cute! {the cat in the photo is mine, Qyzen}
