Domino's $5.99 Steak & Cheese Sandwich

There are times when I completely write off a restaurant or delivery based food business; either the food is horrible or they charge way too much for what you get. I was craving a cheesesteak hoagie but my hopes of making one at home were nixed when I reached for the box of sliced beef steaks and it was empty. Don't you love that, when someone leaves an empty box in the cabinet or ice cube tray in the freezer. Knowing that the boys were ordering for movie night I added a cheesesteak sandwich to the order for $5.99. I could have ordered a whole medium pizza with two toppings on it but no, I had to be different. The sandwiches come in a box and that's a lot nicer than getting them wrapped in foil but the sandwich itself is on the small side and not all that tasty. I ordered mine with no green peppers and only light onion; there was no offering of lettuce or tomato but I am sure they would charge extra for it. Everything is extra there and lord forbid you ask for something that isn't on the menu, they are totally NOT prepared to deviate from what is in front of them. Pizza Hut or Dominos? Take away or delivery? Meat Lovers or Veggie Special? Image: Me

Pizza Hut or Dominos? Neither. We have real pizzerias here in Jersey.

Oh, go ahead, be cruel and rub it in my face. You can't hide in Mexico forever (or can you?)

I order from locally-owned places as much as possible, and always delivery. Although we do go to Pizza Hut's lunch buffet a lot.

Do your PH's have the appreciation cards? We had them in San Diego - buy five buffet lunches or dinners and the sixth one is on the house. Considering the buffet was $5.99 and a drink was $1.29 it was the best deal around

@freak369 - I'm honestly not sure. They've never offered us one.

Dominos has great deals for take away pizzas and I can take advantage because it is very close to my place. In terms of taste and variety of dishes I would choose Pizza Hut, but it's overpriced in my opinion. Delivery if it's not close to home and veggie special!

I prepare Pizza Hut and the mix of meat and veggies on it.

I've had some bad experiences with dominos so I prefer pizza hut. I probably wouldn't get a sub from a pizza place but I'm glad you shared your review.
