a fine balancing act

It's Friday and I'm on the bus. I'm halfway through my two week Easter break from work, it's currently 6.45 in the morning, and I'm on the bus. I should be fast asleep, dreaming of kittens and oddness. But no, I'm on the bus.
My SiL is in a different county and her school breaks for Easter today, even though Easter was last week. The world is daft. So, today I am with MiL and Baby Niece. I shall be washing my hands constantly {the little minx has Hand, Foot and Mouth} and introducing her to Iggle-Piggle and his friends from In the Night Garden.
To get there I am on the bus. And it appears that I have upset the equilibrium of the bus. All the usual folk are here: the man who stole my seat; the girl with the giant headphones {who has stolen the seat I have started to sit in since the man stole my seat}; the curly-haired woman; the chap who always gets off first; the younger chap who is learning to drive; the older woman with the giant headphones, currently falling asleep as she reads her exciting book ... and me. Here I am, sitting behind them all, watching.
They are in perfect harmony, completely symmetrical. I'm like a loose bit of fluff that just hangs about upsetting the smoothness of the freshly hoovered carpet. I should not be here, on the bus.
I should be safely tucked up, cosy and snuggly, deep in sleep in my bed.
Happy days.

I know! I think there must be some sort of conspiracy against me. *sad face*
