I was April Fooled from Craigslist!

Yes, Craigslist! And, no nothing freaky. We're looking for a car to park out in front and also safe to commute around because someone in our neighborhood keeps parking in front of our home. It's not even a nearby neighbor - they live literally 10 homes away. Why can't you park in front of your house, man! It doesn't bug us if it's once in a while but it's everyday and it's not the nicest view opening your curtains to this car. My dad has been browsing Craigslist and he's a huge fan of cars that have a clean history especially 1 owner. The car description sounded good and I looked up the telephone number and the history is clear meaning they're not selling any other cars, or items in Craigslist. I texted this particular person and they responded "immediately" saying their co-worker pulled a prank, they do not think it's funny and apologized for the inconvenience and to flag the ad/post. What a waste of my time! And, I thought I could get through the entire day without being pranked. Did you get pranked today? Or do any pranks on someone? Do share!

What an interesting prank not sure how I would feel if someone added my car on craigslist. I didn't get pranked yesterday or pull any pranks. It was just a normal day around here.

I thought it'd be a normal night also! Til' I got home and my dad asked me to research the car for him, and search on KBB the expected value of the car, etc. Literally like 30 minutes of my time to come out when I texted this fella, it was just a joke. I'm not sure how his friends had access to his keys of his car to take a picture of the odometer, etc also but what a waste of time!

You are buying another car because someone else is parking in front of your house? From the sounds of it, you may not get to park there either and have to park ten houses away. The street is public as are the sidewalks. Maybe the powers that be are sending you a message through that prank.

We can use the extra car. The car will park for visitors or whoever comes home to park and to commute. So at night they won't have to park houses away. Understanding it's public property but by law if the cars park there for 3 days you have the right to have their car towed. We don't do that because we are all neighbors. But common, every household has visitors that need to park how would they feel if people park Infront of their home? If they don't have parking understood but they do. Infront of their home, across the street, up the garage in the garage.

That was a silly prank, I should imagine that car owner would be pretty fed up if he keeps getting calls. I can understand your annoyance at having someone park outside your home.

I think he may have been in on the joke. If he was getting fed up he could told his original co-worker who posted it, to remove it because it's not funny. Be right when I texted him - he responded immediately (he had the message pre-saved to send to whoever texted him I'm sure) and then, probably counting up how many people fell for the joke to report it to work tomorrow or post it on social media.

Yes it was such an inconvenience as I researched the car prior , etc spent like 30 minutes before contacting the persons number to find out it was a joke/scam.

Other than falling, for a second or two, for a photo of Bruce Campbell as the new Doctor Who, I didn't get pranked.
