What do you think of these types of programs? I liked watching Survivor when it first started and stuck with it through the first two All-Star seasons, but now one episode every now again just to see if there are any new games to get team or individual immunities for winning. They seem to repeat these every so often and at times I cannot believe this was the 20th or so season. I think there are too many of these shows on now along with crime dramas and their sequels as in Law & Order---SVU, Criminal Intent and I think there was one more to go along with CSI- Original, Miami, New York (that did not last too long) and now CSI: Cyber which I do like NCIS but you have the original then Los Angeles now New Orleans which are good to watch but now I am waiting for the next installments could be NCIS Chicago/Detroit; CSI: Law & Order. Sometimes I wish old time shows like 'The Waltons, Little House or some shows like that would come back. To me there are too many reality shows on now along with news type shows. Sometimes I wish The Wonderful World of Disney would be on regular television like when I was little. What do you think?

I liked the show Numbers which was a crime show that had the cops solve crimes using advanced math in particular statistics and geometry. It lasted only two seasons though. That show looks good but I am kind of tired of terrorism on television shows when that is really all that is on the news as well. Sometimes you cannot tell when a show is on and the real news is on some times.

The one cop show I do like is 'Blue Bloods' especially the scenes when they are around the dinner table discussing aspects of what is going on in the story and how the cases they are working on affect them personally and professionally.

Yes, too many reality and news shows which are made because they are cheaper to produce than scripted series. They are taking up the airtime for family programming like Little House or more adult fare.

I read that they are cheaper to make, but they are getting really depressing at the same time. Now I would rather just watch the repeats on the cable channels like Hallmark and INSP (Inspiration channel) and watch the old shows like The Waltons, Little House, Dr. Quinn even Bonanza once in awhile.

@marky7 I am familiar with Hallmark and INSP. Other similar channels are Me-TV, Antenna TV, Up which was showing a fine Canadian series called Heartland which is reminiscent of Little House kind of show.

My "reality TV shows" are baseball games.
I don't have any use for reality shows. And I completely agree with you: there's basically one crime drama on CBS that's just repeated 80 times (CSI Rooster Run, Kentucky is next
). But that just reiterates the complaint that many have when they remake movies or do movie versions of TV shows: there's no originality in Hollywood anymore.

I was thinking the next NCIS will be NCIS: Chicago or another idea could be NCIS: International Falls and that agency could work with the Mounties. Kind of liked your idea for CSI though. I think NCIS is trying to find areas in all directions East, West, South they can only go North now.

I don't like Reality Shows and I agree with you , old shows like The Waltons should come back and it would be great if Disney was a regular TV station.

We rarely watch much television at all but I'm not keen on reality shows.

I do watch survivor and amazing race. I could never get into big brother or the real wives (too much drama). We watch a lot of comedy and crime shows.

Big Brother was fine when it started but now it seems just to be nasty when it is on. Amazing Race is fine but don't you think after all these seasons it is now very repetitive.
