You make me dizzy!

Every time I stand up, I get dizzy. Sometimes I have to stop, stand still against the wall, or find something else to grab onto, and wait for it to pass. It's been going on for about a year, and I was wondering what it could be. My doctor makes me come in once a month, and my blood pressure and blood sugar, and pulse, and all that jazz is always normal. *I think I made it sound like I go in once a month for dizziness. She makes me come in once a month for other health reasons. My previous doctor just made me come in once every three months. Either way, they always take my blood pressure....

I had this a few years ago. And i went to a doctor and she did some brain scans. She told me to take a medicine twice a day. every morning and evening. I just couldnt remember the name of the pill. It did work for me. Try visiting a neurologist.

Darn. I was hoping I wouldn't have to go back to my neurologist. However, I am getting tired of annoying myself every time I stand up. Thanks!

Oh, that doesn't sound good or perhaps you are standing up too quickly? I know when I stand up too fast, I get dizzy, but not all the time.

Yeah, I thought of that because I've done it before, but I've been slow to get up, and it still happens. I'm weird, we all know it!

I pray that gets better. That's concerning. You really have to keep your eye on those symptoms. The good things your doctor is keeping an eye on your vitals. Take care and rest.

I hope that this doesn't continue and that the doctor continues to investigate it because that is seriously dangerous. Has he given you any CT Scans or MRI checks?

She doesn't even make me come for the dizziness. That she hasn't really said much about. I had a CT scan a couple years ago because of my migraines and it was fine. Do you really think it could be something serious? I figured it was because I'm wimpy.

@AmbiePam I don't know, it could be something as simple as an iron deficiency, I get like that sometimes. But I would keep at her and get her to pursue it, I had something really major, and I remember a few years before that operation I used to get 'dizzy spells' also. Please get it checked again.

Is not a case of vertigo?

It could be anything, was complete blood count included in the tests? Have you had your eyes checked? Are you taking some kind of medication? I'm not sure and I'm not a medical practitioner but this could be probable causes , nothing to lose if you sort of look into it.

I have had many scans over the years, for other things, but if something was wrong I'm sure it would show up.

My daughter has a friend who started experiencing vertigo with no explanation. Being dizzy is scary especially if you fall and hurt yourself.

My brother-in-law deals with this and has had many tests and they still don't know what is causing it.
