Before I go to bed, I wish to share you my activity after lunch. I accompanied my son to the city proper to have his net book be fixed with the audio jack. He brought it several times to a repair shop but the owner said he is waiting for the OJT students of a school near his shop. My sister said it is better to bring the net book to a legitimate repairman; hence, I and my son went to the city. The repairman said the audio jack is built-in and advised us to buy a USB-type for audio and visual capacity of the net book, which we found at CDR King. I brought our tablet with us and I looked for a repair shop to ask what might be the problem. We found one, and as soon as he charged the tablet and looked at the screen with the black and white marks appearing then disintegrating, he said, “Ma’am, it is LCD and it will cost you P1, 400.00 to fix it.” I said I will have it fixed when I will have that amount in July. I have to prioritize my spending for my medicines first before the tablet. Checking at Encarta Dictionary, LCD means LIQUID-CRYSTAL DISPLAY. Now I know…

If the LCD is inoperative then I would not really consider it worthwhile having it repaired.

I agree, I do not believe that it is worth to repair a LCD screen.

@LadyDuck yes, the fee is just like buying new one now.

I think when the tablet is opened, it will cause more harm than good so I and my son agreed to buy a new one instead.

I agree with @Asylum if the problem is the LCD, I would not consider having your tablet repaired.

I would expect that the difference between the repair cost and that of a new tablet would make a new model a much more practical approach.

@Asylum I agree and I do not know many people capable to repair a LCD, once they are gone are gone.

Yes, and I asked my son if we should let it be repaired and he answered on the negative. Buy a new one but later because we have new phones now, he remarked

That is true. Right now, I am commenting again on my phone and using the predictive text, and I still hope to use the tablet for bigger screen but my check-up and medicines should come first.

@SIMPLYD it is in our mobile/smart phones, my lady. I made 2 discussions, my shortest and second shortest, and I use the predictive texts. These are the words that appear just above the keyboard on screen and you just have to punch the right word that you need to post. It is also termed "dictionary" or "auto-correct".

I see from your comments that you have decided to get a new one - it seems the best thing to do when you can afford it.

yes, my friend. But I believe it is not my top priority because I have to think about my maintenance medications which I buy every end of the month.

Awww they need to replace the LCD. Hmmmmm I still haven't brought my other tablet for repair. But upon reading at the user pages of tablets same with mine, I think the problem with mine is the program. I think they need to reprogram the tablet.
