Wonderful 50th anniversary trip to Charleston, SC

This past week was absolutely amazing. Our kids and family gave us a 50th wedding anniversary celebration that was so wonderful and such fun. We enjoyed a family photo shoot in a beautiful park, then went on a Riverboat dinner cruise in the Charleston harbor. The dinner was so delicious and the anniversary cake was wonderful. Another day we went on a horse drawn carriage tour of historic Charleston, then shopping in the famous Slave Market downtown. (We learned they never actually sold slaves there!) We had a wonderful surprise when my husband's niece and her husband flew in from Arkansas for the festivities. They toured the Yorktown aircraft carrier one afternoon. My husband and I picked up sweet baby Alice on the way to our daughter and her husband's house in Charleston and celebrated her first birthday there! We enjoyed so much good food, eating at local seafood restaurants on the water, Jay's delicious grilled steaks, lots of desserts, Nathan's salmon cakes, and hanging out with all our kids. The whole trip was so relaxing and fun, but the very best part was being with our family. We're truly blessed.
