Can you post articles written by you that are already published on other sites?

I did not know that you are not allowed to post articles that have been written by you which are already published. Since it was already written by me, I just thought I would break it down and put it up on here as a smaller post. I was not aware that that cannot be done. Anyway I have removed my post As you can see in the picture I had written that post on 17th June 2013 and it was about Repair of Damaged Hair. The picture also shows that I wrote it on Microsoft Word. I was working for a US client who would give me topics to write on and I would write articles on them and would get paid for it. I had done quite a few and even worked with wonderslist. Oh well I've learnt something new today.

On 31 march admin said this " Although it isn't in the guidelines, I had been discouraging the use of recycled content. I am going to confer with those over me and get some solid info on whether or not the guidelines are to be updated to reflect that policy, or if it is to be an abandoned policy."
It's unfortunate that I just found and probably won't be able to stay on the site. Apparently an admin just deleted a whole discussion of a fellow new member...

The trouble that even if the site you wrote on is out of business, there is not guarantee that someone did not plagiarize your article. I have found my stuff on strange websites all over the web.

It would be acceptable if the other copies had been removed from the internet, but not allowed if duplications exist elsewhere.

I am sure you will still learn something before the day ends
