Tomorrow is the day I go to the court house and serve my ex husband with paperwork regarding child support. He served me paper work because he is looking for me to pay child support and I want to file a responsive motion to modify child support. I believe in helping support my child but my ex is doing it for other reasons and he is purposely trying to get as much money out of me as he can. He is very vindictive. I am very nervous about turning in the paperwork at the court house tomorrow and what his response will be when he gets it in the mail. I really don't need anymore tension between us. ugh..

This is really tense for me, all of that promises of being together in sickness n health is just a myth in most people now a days. I hope you win this case, I wonder what made him do this, he's abusing the system i think hoping to abuse you more.

I believe in karma so some day he will get his. All this stuff is very unnecessary.

Thank you I am going to use all the luck I can get. It just seems like crap keeps getting hurled my way, something good has to come my way right?

Nothing worse than a vindictive ex. It took me nine months to get rid of him and the final decree -- it was one of the worst times of my life. I hope that tomorrow will be very successful for you and that the judge will be reasonable about it all.

I really hope not, Thats why I am excited to get these papers in the mail today and be done with this. its not a go to court once thing we will have to go a few more times to get this settled, child support takes awhile to figure out

That's so sad. One would think that any man would want to care for their child or children. They shouldn't think about the children their flesh and blood and shouldn't give the mother a difficult time. I hope all goes well and you don't have to deal with anymore stress.

Thank you! I am so stressed out over this and want it to be over with. My son will be turning 13 years old soon so I feel like we could of done without the court system since we've been divorced for 7 years now

@Castlerock34 It is not clear who has the custody of the child now.Is your ex-husband employed or not?

So your ex has custody of your kid/s and he wants child support and you don't want to pay what he wants you to pay?

he has 10% more custody than I do and he wants to take a lot of my money. I have no problem supporting my child because I already do as it is but he wants more and he makes a lot of money, so I dont understand why he is trying to gouge me

@Castlerock34 these child issues get very messy He has 10% more responsibility than you but, obviously I don't know the back story, why don't you try for shared custody 50/50? Surely within the 50/50 custody it'd be recognised that earnings are not necessarily exactly 50/50? One person often earns more than the other and statistically men do earn more than women in many countries depending on the industry and the job. Could you not agree something outside of court as often the only winners in these issues are the lawyers.

@Mike197602 I coundlnt agree more, anything having to do with children can get very messy and can be very hurtful for everyone involved especially my kid.
