Diary Thursday 7th April 2016

Another really inactive day though with a few key events. My mum snuck out shopping on her own, despite her heart problems as she wanted to get a break. She left me worried about where she was and returned looking very tired – quite distressing. I sent a steampunk short story off to a possible publisher. I won’t know if they like it for a few weeks yet. Arthur Chappell

You must have been so worried about your Mum. Glad she returned okay.

@JudyEv yes, it was distressing and odd having a mum who escapes like that too

@arthurchappell It will put a lot of pressure on you if she makes a habit of this.

@arthurchappell younger generations you could just slap a find me app on their cell, and then be able to find her at any point in time, but older gen, not so much

I am sure your mother just wante to get out a bit and probably didn't even think you would be worried about her. Good Luck with your story and hopefully it will be published soon.

Oh, good thing she's fine when she arrived home despite being tired.

@Macarrosel thanks, she seemed more relaxed as the evening arrived - just hope she doesn't make a habit of such exertion when she tinks I won't notice

Becoming older and finding that bits and pieces start acting oddly must be incredibly distressing. I know that when Mumsy gets to the point where she can't drive safely anymore she's going to be absolutely heartbroken. Your poor mum. Pleased she got home safely though.

That was probably a bit unsettling. Good luck with the story.
