If you open your browser to myLot, be sure to refresh it before liking.

If I remember from a few days back, it seems my browser was set to close and the options were set to open at staring up, to Use Current Group. When I closed with an open tab on myLot I noticed that sometimes, not always, a comment I had already liked appeared as if I had not liked it yet. I then clicked like and then after refreshing that page in my browser it appeared as if I disliked it. This can sometimes be confusing, so I narrowed it all down to just refreshing that page in my browser so that way I would be current in all my responses and likes and such. The main reason for seeing a a response appear as not being currrent is because sometimes my browser will open a suggestion in a new window and when I notice I have two myLot tabs open, I will often close the new one and/or press the browser back button. This may take me to a page I was on that had not yet been updated since I liked something. That would make it seem as if I had not liked it in the first place. The only way to insure this type of situation does not happen is to make sure you refresh any pages you have doubts about. A browser can be set to auto refresh every time the page is read but with open tabs, a page that is open will not always refresh properly. It is usually my experience with my particular browser that I must remember to refresh all pages that I go to after a session closing the day before. The browser can actually be living in the day before and the moment refreshing a page occurs all kinds of changes take place including news pages that update their articles once every ten minutes . One example was I used to go to The Dallas News dot com. If my browser had a cache version of yesterday's page and it was not refreshed for some reason, I would only be able to read yesterday's posts. If I refresh that page it will always update itself and you will lose yesterday's posts but gain today's. Some site I once wrote at did not make allowances for unliking. This is reasonable to believe in that each like has a currency value of so many thousandth's of a cent right? So if a person unliked a post it was mainly because they liked it first before reading it. Read your discussions well first. You may like it or you may not but in any case, make sure your comments are current and updated before moving on the the next topic of interest. Every little interaction pays and really makes a big difference. One thing more, if your internet speed is way slow, then you may need to modify some background apps to free up more space and speed up your own computer's data processes. I can't always get my browser to work as fast if I am running a video game in the background. I then shut down TheSims4 for instance then all of a sudden my internet speed has more than doubled.

Even though I know this little trick of browsers I sometimes forget to refresh the pages myself. Some people prefer to clean their browser history, cookies and cache every time they log off and shut down for the day. I don't because I like having my cookies in tact. If a bad cookie gets in there my Norton Security will remove it without getting rid of the good cookies like login and identity using open sessions. But then hackers like it when I keep my cookies and for that I have some doubts about keeping even the good ones. It's a matter of personal preference I think.
