I am not quite sure how to put this, so I will just spit it out.
I have a soon to be 13 year old son and he had to have a talk with me in the car this morning before i dropped him off at school. It was a good thing I wasnt face to face with him because I tried keeping a straight face.
I was talking about how his body was changing and the odd stuff it is doing now and how he feels bad about it. His dad had the sex talk with him the other night so he is pretty well educated as far as a 13 year old goes.
So this morning he talked to me about ...masterbation..oh boy and I was not ready for that. Hes only 13 years old!!!!
He told me he started telling me he was looking things up on the internet and I was expecting him to say full fledged nudity but no, so that was a good surprise.
I am certainly not ready for this, to be a mom of a teenage boy. I feel like this is only going to be the start and I am scared.

I am so not ready for that either with my children! Those talks are not going to be easy or fun in any way. I am sure you handled it well and I am sure I will too when the time comes-even if I hate it!

It was hard trust me and especially when he asked me about the molded fake body parts that women use to.... He learned about that from kids at school, what the heck is wrong with some peoples parents to let their kid go around school and spout off about something they know nothing about. Now my son had to ask me about it and I was honest which was very uncomfortable

@LovingMyBabies I couldnt agree more!! but I also think when I was a kid I am sure I did the same thing, when your a kid you are convinced your telling the truth and you know everything about "that" subject. Still not excusable

I think so too, I would be embarrassed If I had to talk to my dad about that.

School wasnt teaching him the things he wanted to know about which is why we had to go into further detail. Something I do wish the school would take care of

I think his coming to you is better than him going to find other God knows what sources to educate himself. He is at his curious age. Answer him as honestly as possible without delving into details. Lol

I agree 100%, he has learned enough from the kids at school. Very misinformed and immature about it. I just hope my son has enough sense not to go blabbing what he learned about because that takes that opportunity away from that parent to explain it to their child how they want, you know
