This afternoon when I tried to get back online I saw the dreaded Server Not Found Message. Not good. After a few minutes cursing, I remembered an email from the internet people saying that today the broadband could be off while they did some maintenance. Okay, glad we got that sorted. So it does pay to read your emails and put things like this in the diary! Still, I had an afternoon watching old TV shows and drinking tea.Daytime

@Ronrybs That is good! I usually rely on Now TV for entertainment now.

Found that out, daytime TV is a bit of a graveyard. Luckily it wasn't off that long

Tea! Of course! Any particularly interesting old TV shows you watched?

Can't remember what it was called, but an American thing about corruption and crime in the 60s. Then I watched NCIS from a couple of seasons ago.

@Ronrybs Do they ever show old British TV series? The last time I was in London I was dismayed that every time I turned TV on it was the Simpsons, Oprah, old Hollywood movies, Friends. To be sure there were Brit shows but they seemed outnumbered.

@JohnRoberts Yes they do, but mostly at weekends. There is still a lot of American stuff shown. Guess it must be cheaper

Which is what we did before the internet came along and changed our lives forever!

It's good you remembered why this was happening. I would probably have had the techos out.

I wish I would get emails about maintenance times! lol I guess our company would rather surprise us...and not always in a good way.

What no waiter at the Internet Restaurant? I have to say that, when we lose electricity, many of us wander around in a cataleptic state.

When you want it, you want it. There are times when I couldn't be too bothered about the 'lekky' being cut off

Over here, daytime TV is, well, bloody awful.
