Some Great News

No, it isn't concerning the house, though I did hear from my new loan person a couple days ago. They're still waiting on all the docs from the previous bank. I don't know what the hold up is. I know how much they stalled with me, but since they sold the loan, you would think they would give them everything at one time.
No, it isn't a new puppy, because I don't have the answer to the house question yet.
However, it is the best news I have seen in a very long time - many years in fact of trying and failing.
I went to the doctor on Tuesday. I posted about that. My blood pressure is high and the swelling in my legs is gross, all due to the two broken legs I've had. I broke my right ankle 6 years ago this August and my left leg six months ago. After each break the leg affected swelled. So now they both look the same as far as swelling is concerned.
So the doctor put me on a blood pressure/water pill. When I woke this morning and looked at my feet and ankles there wasn't any swelling. I know that won't last, but I just had to check something out. So in the bathroom I went and stepped on the scale.
Drum Roll please.
I'm down 9 pounds in two days. Now I know it's all water weight and I expect to see at least 20 pounds total come off before it settles down to where I'll be fighting for every pound again. But it was sure great to see the number on the scale and know I've now lost a total of 13 pounds since I was in the nursing home. I'm not counting the 10 I added just being in there. That ten came off as soon as I got home and was eating my own food again.
So that's my great news and I'm very happy with it.
What's your great news? Do you have any?
Thanks for reading.

they dont have your loan anymore, I have a feeling they no longer care, so I wouldnt be surprised you have to get it all together, again. I wonder if there are things that can help with the swelling so you can feel better longer!

@just4him I didnt know that didnt have salt! that's pretty awesome. We use lemon pepper some like that, but will have to add some dash back in

I tried elastic stockings but they bit into my legs so bad they cut off the circulation or it felt like it was. So now it's a water/blood pressure pill. I hope it's returning my blood pressure back to normal as fast as I'm getting this water weight off, and then of course it will be working to get the rest of this unsightly weight off.

@Jessicalynnt I took as much salt/sodium out of my diet years ago. I use Mrs. Dash in everything. Of course I still get some when I go out to eat or to my sister's or brother's for holiday's and things like that, but the amount of salt I have in my diet now is greatly diminished.

That's indeed a great news. I know you feel great about losing weight.
I surpassed the maintenance in the office. It is my day off and the people who works in the weekend are feeling terrible about the bulk of tickets they are going to process after the maintenance.

It does feel better to walk, which I thought was also the case, but my knees aren't as stiff either this morning, so that's also a plus.

I feel better knowing that much is gone. I haven't really noticed a difference yet physically. I still look huge. Though on the plus side, I have to keep pulling my jeans up, so something must be working right even if it is just a little bit.

@Drosophila Now that I'm on a blood pressure/water pill I'm losing the initial water weight, then the fun will begin to get rid of the rest of this unsightly weight.

Very good for you losing any weight at all as it is not easy to do from what I understand. The good news I have today is the painting in my sons house is almost all done and soon his furniture will be moved in and he can then enjoy his own home.
