Are you bothered by carpal tunnel?

I haven't had a problem with carpal tunnel in years! Back at my old place I have quite a few wrist braces that I've used over the years. For some reason, the problem is back with a vengeance right now! My hand keeps going numb, so I have had to limit my time online. I've ordered a new brace and it should arrive tomorrow. I'll be wearing it all day and probably while I sleep, too. I learned in the past that wearing it, especially while sleeping, really does help. I'll be signing off in a little bit to read. My hand goes numb holding a book, too, but it seems to cause less of a problem than typing! -Claudia-

thanks, Marlina. I guess I've been overdoing it since I moved to keep my mind occupied on things other than my move. Now it's time to take care of my wrists.

That is a pain - pardon the pun. I guess you could do without this just at the moment. What a shame you have braces back at your old house.

Well, I did manage to find one and I've been wearing it and it's helping. Good thing, too, because the delivery I was supposed to get today failed. I guess they tried to deliver but there was no one to receive it. I guess UPS doesn't deliver directly to the apartment, which is a shame since I've been here all day.

@CRK109 I read in another post that you'd found a previous one in the bottom of a box. Are both wrists affected?

hi Yes oh yes I have to b e caref ul typing and usually it does not bother til in the evening then look o ut ;I have a night brace but the way it is made you have to take it apart every time you go to the bathroom at night too much bother. My wrist and hand and part of my arm go numb at night. My doctor says surgery but I m not too keen on the idea.

I know so many people who've had multiple surgeries for carpal tunnel and it just doesn't always work. I think the braces are great and as long as I'm diligent about wearing the brace long enough, things should even out soon. :)

I have this and I just deal with it. I do take breaks so I don't hurt.

Yes I had to get shots in my wrists at one point. I also wear a brace to help alleviate pain. Have a blessed evening

It might have flared because of all the moving and sorting perhaps? Your place has no damp right? Yeah it hits me now and again but not too severe. Having worked in factories and hair I had it bad at one time. Know the pain and the braces did help. Hope it eases off soon..did you try icy hot too?
