Your Favorite Movie of the 80s...

I was puttering around, catching up with a few FB friends and the video began to play. I would say that if I had to choose a movie tonight... it would have to be "Dirty Dancing" Granted there, are a lot of movies that I will fondly remember from this decade, but it has to be the last scene that takes your breath away. It just leaves you with this warm and fuzzy feeling. Just a feel good movie. If you had to choose a movie to come in second... what would it be??

I loved that movie, too, but I also loved Peter Sellers in Being There. It may have been in the 70s.

@puddleglum It's been a while now but I take it that there is a holiday theme to the movie. All I remember is the bedroom scene and then again all I remember is that it was so funny.

Oh, I am not sure about this. I did like The Breakfast Club although I feel like that is a stock answer everyone will give. My other favorite from the 1980s is the Labyrinth. Absolutely love that one.

I think that it's time for a return visit to a lot of these movies. I had forgotten about some of them!! Those two included!!

Pretty Woman, I'm such a romantic fool and who could resist the charm of Julia Roberts? Oh and not to forget how debonair Richard Gere was!

I was just thinking about Richard Gere and something that was niggling at the back of my brain. Several years ago I was teaching creative writing at my kids school and one of my students actually went on to do a movie with him. Her name was Tamara Hope. The movie was something about dancing... that's all I can remember. Small world lol!

I remember Dirty Dancing but did not really watched it. The fact is I was so busy with my job and home then that i could not even watch movies.
