I Keep Hearing Noises

I have mice, and it sounds like that noise is right on the other side of my filing cabinets, which is about three feet on the other side of my desk next to the wall. I can tell you if I see that mouse I will be on top of this chair. I will probably move faster than I have in several years.
One thing about warmer weather is that the critters go outside in spring, so I really wish we weren't in the middle of a winter snowstorm right now, so it would give the critters cause to go outside and leave me alone.
Are you bothered by unwanted critters in your house?
Thanks for reading.

Last week I set traps and over two days caught 4 mice. Since then I've seen no new mouse droppings or heard the tell tale chewing noise.
We have an ultra sonic device in the attic to keep the squirrels from setting up housekeeping.

I don't think I've heard of that kind of device. I should look into that for my attic. Plenty of activity going on up there as well.

Our house is empty every weekend. Last December, our house was empty for a very long time and when we came back telephone wires, internet lines were damaged by rats! We didn't know we had rats in the house. They were from our neighbours and attacked the house when it was empty.

@Jessicalynnt I would imagine it does. I'm going to need to look for some when I go shopping.

Yes, lots on tiny ants which get into everything. Now I put the foodstuff on the table on a plate filled with water like an island.
The ants go away in winter though.

Yes, unwanted creatures in my house do bother me. If you are allowed and do not have yet. I suggest getting a cat or small breed dog to help with your mice problem.

Allergic to cats and I'm hoping to get a new dog soon. I just put my other one down in January, not an easy thing to do and I miss her very much.

I have mouse traps, but I can't set them, they snap before I get them on the floor. The cat would work except I'm allergic to cats.

Do you have a cat ? They come in handy. Ours loves to catch flying bugs for us.

No, no cats. My son had one for a while, and I even tolerated it a little bit. I'm allergic to cats.

No mice here but I have had them when I lived in my other house and I hated it.

They are annoying. I just wish I could lay those traps without them snapping on me.

no other sound annoys me than our neighbor shouting at her grandkida, who also keep on crying incessantly.
