Waiting for Spring

After a long cold winter and predictions of an early spring, there is still snow on the ground. It started out great, warm and sunny for about a week until it turned cold again. Snow, wind, rain, freezing rain, dropping temperatures, when will the torture end? Even the geese are confused. Yes there are sunny days but cold ones. No gardening for awhile yet. How is it in your part of the world?

Here we dare not plant outside until the end of May as there is risk of frost until then. However, I coud get the beds prepared in the meantime if it wasn't so cold.

we've been up/down here, though no snow 'n jest a few light mountain-type showers'f rain here yesterday. the birds're confused all o'er i'm thinkin'. the winds've howled since 'bout the first'f march with jest a day'r 2 scattered'n that've been decent. we've been fortunate (?) with the temps though it'll be in the high 70's/low 80's one day 'n then a high 'f 40-50 degrees the next. the poor horses dunno whether they should shed'r not.

I actually thought it would be better in Toronto. I hear it is hot and sunny in Vancouver but then they deserve it since they have just been through a long winter of rain and clouds

It's miserably cold here too and I think spring has forgotten us this year.

Rainy and overcast here in LA. Those geese don't seem to mind the snow.
