When I was young I read all the goosebumps books by R.L.Stine. They were so good.
A month or two ago a new movie came out called Goosebumps. I wanted to take my children to see it but I worried they would be scared.
I heard from others that have watched it that its not scary.
It was at the library on DVD today so we borrowed it and are watching it. I have really high expectations for this movie.

It didn't scare me at all but I was worried that my children would be scared. My daughter did come up last night saying she had nightmares so it could have been from that. Tonight she will sleep in my bed like she does each school night. She feels safer in my bed. On the weekends she and her brother sleep downstairs watching movies while my man and I sleep in my bed.

@Angel_15 She hasn't had any the past few days thankfully. She has been watching this movie constantly. Her birthday is coming up in May. Maybe I will buy it for her so she can have her own copy as I have to return this to the library soon.

I'll have to ask my kids if they want to watch it. I've never read the books, but one of my daughters was really into them. They were uber popular when I volunteered at the school library!

I remember the books as being scarier then the movie is. I am glad for that as my kids are pretty big scaredy cats and have nightmares really easy then wind up cramped into my bed next to me. Three of us in a full size bed just is awful.

@shaggin LOL! I used to love it when my kids crept back in to sleep with us. We had a family bed when they were really little, but as they got bigger they preferred to sleep with their siblings - which suited poor Daddy fine! He was the one that always got kicked in the back, in the middle of the night.

@Ruby3881 aww that is so sweet that they would sleep next to their siblings. My two cannot stand each other. They will not lay in the bed unless I am between them lol. My daughter sleeps in my bed usually every night as she is scared to sleep in her room. My son sleeps in his bed in his room which is connected to mine with a doorway without a door.

I know I feel the same way about it bringing back memories by hearing about the movie. I remember when I was young that they were a bit scary so I was worried that it would be a scary movie for my children who are scaredy cats lol.
